Director of Client Experience

Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid, Onsite 4 days/week)
Target Base Salary: $130-$160K, DOE

Now, they’re seeking a Director of Client Experience, a relationship-driven leader who will play a pivotal role in shaping the agency’s future, vision, and approach to client partnership as they enter their next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

The Director of Client Experience will serve as the senior leader overseeing client relationships, delivery excellence, and the evolution of how clients engage with the agency.

This role is both strategic and hands-on — you’ll guide key accounts, lead internal collaboration, and define the processes and standards that make every client experience exceptional. In partnership with the agency’s founders, you’ll help shape the agency’s broader vision, influencing culture, growth strategy, and the way the agency delivers its creative and technological edge.


Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership

  • Serve as the senior partner and strategic advisor to key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships built on trust, insight, and measurable results.

  • Translate client business goals into actionable marketing and creative strategies that leverage the agency’s tech-driven capabilities.

  • Act as the internal advocate for client needs while maintaining alignment with agency priorities and profitability.

Team & Process Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the account and project management teams, fostering a culture of proactive communication and collaboration.
  • Define and continuously improve client experience processes, from onboarding and project management to reporting and feedback.
  • Implement tools and frameworks that promote transparency, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Growth & Strategic Impact

  • Collaborate directly with founders to shape the agency’s long-term vision and help guide its evolution into the next chapter.

  • Bring a forward-looking perspective on digital marketing, creative technology, and emerging platforms.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in client services, account leadership, or marketing strategy within a design, digital, and/or tech-focused environment.

  • Deep understanding of digital design, creative technology, and how innovation can be applied to brand growth.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.

  • A balance of strategy and execution: able to think big while staying grounded in delivery.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity, and the ability to thrive in a smaller, collaborative agency environment.
