They have partnered with us to help them identify a Director of Engineering who will manage day to day duties of the Engineering and Technical Staff. This individual will be involved in the Leadership Team meetings, and have the ability to impact the growth and innovation of our client.
*Lead the staff that is responsible for Process Engineering, Tooling Design/Fabrication, CNC Programming, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities Planning, Continuous Improvement Projects and Project Management
*Develop, Implement and execute product and process engineering strategy, plans, objectives and goals that ensures conformance to all customer specifications, QMS and regulatory requirements
*Monitor Project Teams to ensure consistent engineering principles and methodologies, manufacturing technologies, and QMS procedures are followed
*Lead Continuous Improvement activities and coordinate cross-functional resources to improve company metrics and strategic goals are met
*Contribute to key strategic planning and decision making regarding new technologies, processing, markets, machining and tooling capabilities, and customer value-added solutions
|Desired Skills and Experience:||
*7+ years of process or manufacturing engineering experience in Machining Operations, Finishing Processes for a variety of metal and polymeric products
*5+ years of leadership in an Engineering or Quality Department
*Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering design, DFM and product reliability concepts
*Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and 3D model software
*AS9100 and NADCAP audit experience in securing and maintaining certification
*Expertise with statistical process control methods, monitoring and control, data and defect analysis, variance reduction, and capability analysis
*Ability to travel up to 30% of the time (majority of local travel)
*Experience working in a Structured QMS environment: AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 and or NADCAP
