Assistant Controller
SkyWater is partnering with a “start-up”, public company in Minnetonka who is looking to hire an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller to their team. This company has seen 40% YOY growth in the past couple of years and will continue this incredible growth so it’s an exciting time to join! This person will be responsible for owning financial reporting, general accounting, inventory, and internal controls/SOX. The role will also have direct exposure to senior leadership, working alongside the CEO, CFO, and others. Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting from various business units monthly.
- Monitor company compliance with SOX, internal controls and procedures, working with the business units and internal audit to remediate deficiencies identified.
- Assist with the implementation of new ERP system at existing and newly acquired business units.
- Administration of Blackline account reconciliation software to monitor compliance with company account reconciliation policy.
- Manage accounting operations for one of the largest business units.
- Ownership of certain consolidated balance sheet accounts such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and inventory.
- Work with external audit to assist with quarterly reviews and annual audit.
- Complete special accounting projects as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 7+ years of related experience
- Public accounting and/or public company experience
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Construction/manufacturing experience preferred
- People management experience
