Business Unit Sales Manager
Our client is a local manufacturer with nearly 100 years of rich history and success. An innovative leader within manufacturing and technology, they have provided solutions to many industries: foodservice, retail, government, and others.
To facilitate continued growth, they are partnering with SkyWater to find a Business Unit Sales Manager. This newly-created position is designed to drive sales efforts in verticals outside of foodservice or retail, though experience in those industries is still desirable. The ideal candidate has experience selling solutions into climate-controlled environments and industries such as BioPharma, Agriculture Grow Rooms, Floral, Battery/EV, etc.
A leader for the company, this Business Unit Sales Manager will be hands-on with sales outreach as they build out the new segment, having the ability to leverage the rest of the sales team to drive further growth. If you have an entrepreneurial mindset, enjoy strategizing and building out new sales plans, and can drive business, this is a great opportunity for you.

Responsibilities
- Strategically develop sales plan to target new verticals
- Hands-on driving of direct and indirect sales channels
- Traveling to land business, assessing current or prospective customer needs
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships
- Meet and exceed annual sales targets
Desired Skills and Experience
- 3-5+ years of sales experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience selling within climate-controlled industries
- Sales presentation skills
- Entrepreneurial business-driving mindset
