SkyWater is partnering with a growing family-owned industrial electrical company located in the Northwest Metro. They’ve provided top of the line electrical products for OEM’s across the globe/ Our client is continuing to build out their supply chain team as they look to add a purchasing professional to their team. This person will be responsible for purchasing and maintaining inventory levels for their OEM international manufacturing partners. This role is made for someone that’s looking to grow and and potentially lead the purchasing department in the future. 

Responsibilities

  • Planning/purchasing of materials to maintain inventory levels
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers
  • Maintaining vendor relationships
  • Work closely with international manufacturing OEM's on needs
  • Coordinate with internal and external departments on pricing and lead times
  • Track purchase orders
  • Identify cost-savings strategies

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • 3+ years of purchasing experience with a manufacturing or industrial background
  • Strong MRP/ERP experience
  • Experienced with international purchasing
  • Strong attention to detail
