Our privately-held, fast-growing client is a well-established, $1B+ industrial business that has retained us to identify the first Chief Digital Officer in the history of their company. This organization has grown very quickly in the last 25 years, both organically and through a number of acquisitions…and they aren’t slowing down anytime soon!

Our client has committed to a large scale digital transformation over the coming years to maintain their position as a market leader in their industry, and this person will lead a growing Digital department of eCommerce, Data, and Product leaders.

The CDO will be accountable for digital transformation at our client, including leading all cross-collaborative digital and data initiatives, spearheading a differential focus on internal and external customer experiences, and leading the organization through a shift to a more modern operating model utilizing product and agile practices.

Reporting to the President and CEO, while also providing thought leadership to the board of directors, the CDO will own our client’s digital strategy and its principles and roadmap, establishing and evolving the plan, ensuring that it meets the expectations and needs of internal and external customers. The CDO will build new digital services, business models, and delivery mechanisms that do not currently exist today at our client, while also leading the newly formed enterprise data team to drive business objectives.

The CDO will also lead our client in improving ways of working and delivering a superior customer experience in alignment with our enterprise priorities. A successful candidate will be a dynamic leader able to champion a new and modern digital strategy. This will include designing and scaling a new operating model grounded in product management and agile principles, redefining how priorities are set, funded, and measured across the company and helping our client become more data driven.
