Chief Executive Officer
We have been retained by a respected private equity firm to identify the next CEO for one of their fast-growing service businesses in their portfolio in Minneapolis.
This very profitable business does around $25M in revenue, has 110 employees, and has seen consistent double digit growth over the past 6 years. Based on the PE's recent investment, the company is now poised to see even stronger growth, both organically and through future acquisitions.
The selected candidate will receive a strong compensation package, benefits, and a lucrative equity package.
***NOTE: This position is local to Minneapolis, and the selected candidate will be required to work on-site at their corporate HQ in Minneapolis. Relocation assistance will be provided if necessary for the selected candidate. ***
The CEO will be responsible for establishing and leading the vision, direction, and leadership for the Company. This executive will provide overall accountability for business strategy and planning, including operational execution to deliver short-term and long-term business results. The CEO will also be responsible for managing and controlling costs on a constant basis, to improve the bottom-line performance. This position will provide leadership to the organization and continue its operational excellence for the customers and employees in line with the basic principles and business values of the company. The CEO will be expected to drive critical operating cost programs and improved practices throughout the organization to increase profits.
The CEO will be expected to motivate, measure, coach and support functional heads to ensure optimum performance in each area of functional expertise. Individual will also be responsible for the development of high performance, cross-functional management teams.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with private equity firm to communicate and organize all activities that is in the best interest of the Company.
- Create a continued approach in identifying key drivers for excellence.
- Organize – always clarifying roles to make sure there is ownership and completion of projects both large and small.
- Facilitate the assessment of short and long term risks and opportunities to the business.
- Control and follow up to ensure all sectors of the business and expectations are moving forward and on time.
- Formulate and implement long and short-term strategies, policies and programs to achieve business objectives.
- Problem solve on a daily and long term basis.
- Maintain an awareness and exercises judgment in areas of market conditions, competitive activities, general economic conditions and governmental statutes and regulations.
Desired Skills and Experience
? Undergraduate degree is required, and MBA degree or post graduate degree preferred ? Strong management consulting experience preferred ? Proven leadership skills with a track record of driving organizations through periods of significant growth. ? Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and credibly in a President /CEO role. ? Strong strategic sense and demonstrated success in a challenging and highly competitive environment. ? Proven track record in providing strategic direction and vision that has successfully been translated into profitability and success. ? Proven track record in establishing operational excellence through realignment of resources and implementation of process improvement initiatives that have been successfully executed. ? Strong financial acumen and capability in running a bottom-line oriented company. ? Experience and hands on negotiation in contracts and vendor agreements, legal input as a plus.
