Chief Technology Officer
SkyWater has been retained by a nationally recognized, family-owned manufacturer and technology innovator is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its enterprise-wide technology strategy and digital transformation. With operations spanning multiple sites across North America, this organization combines precision engineering, advanced manufacturing, and proprietary software to deliver industry-leading building solutions.
The CTO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing enterprise IT, operational technology (OT), cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives, and a growing proprietary software platform. This executive will shape the technology vision, modernize infrastructure, and drive innovation that fuels both operational excellence and commercial growth.

Responsibilities
- Define and execute a multi-year technology roadmap supporting growth and scalability.
- Modernize IT infrastructure, strengthen cybersecurity, and enhance cloud architecture.
- Champion AI-enabled applications in design, estimating, and predictive maintenance.
- Lead software product strategy and integration across internal and external systems.
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, cross-functional technology organization.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
- 20+ years of progressive technology leadership, including 5+ at the executive level.
- Background in manufacturing, construction, or industrial technology preferred.
- Proven success driving digital transformation across IT, OT, and product platforms.
- Hands-on experience with ERP modernization, AI/ML integration, and BIM/Revit/AutoCAD environments.
- Expertise in M&A due diligence and technology integration.
- Experience leading a commercial or SaaS software business a strong plus.
- Strategic, forward-thinking leader with the ability to translate vision into measurable impact.
- Must be local to Minnesota
