We’ve been retained to find the next Controller for one of our clients. This role has opened up due to retirement and it’s a pretty critical hire for their team.

? Oversee all accounting functions, including AR/AP. ? Prepare annual budget, monthly financial reports and schedules (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows, etc.) ? Prepare weekly aging and cash flow statements ? Maintain the general ledger: o Ensure posting of transactions are accurate and timely o Analyze GL accounts as needed to ensure accuracy and define transactions and their impact. Reconcile and make necessary adjustments. Monitor accounts for unusual variances and make corresponding recommendations to department heads based on these findings. o Prepare month end close and maintain required timetable to complete month end activities ? Ensures cost incurred are properly recorded ? Review journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation ? Reconcile Inventory Counts to the ERP system ? Create/update Job and Client Profitability Reports ? Prepare, process and post bank deposits efficiently and effectively ? Present at Board and leadership meetings ? Upload weekly ACH Vendor Payments to bank account

Desired Skills and Experience

? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business ? 7+ years of diversified accounting experience; distribution or manufacturing industry a plus ? Experience with accounting software, example: Great Plains, and Quick Books; demonstrated ability to learn new systems ? Experienced in financial statement preparation, cash flow management, and tax compliance. ? Highly organized, analytical, and skilled at problem solving ? Ability to safeguard confidential information – high level of integrity ? Ability to think strategically, flexible, team orientated and works with others collaboratively with all levels of the company ? Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
