Director of Finance & Accounting

  • Salary: $165,000

We have been retained by an exciting & growing $150M+ eCommerce business based in the Midwest to identify their top finance leader (Director of Finance & Accounting), reporting to the CEO.

This organization is one of the hidden gems culture/team-wise in the Midwest; we placed their first Software Architect there over 10 years ago, and he is still there and loving it! Our client has been around for over 20 years, and employs more than 150 people at their headquarters near St. Paul, MN. If you enjoy big enterprise environments with a ton of process, red tape, and large teams, don’t apply for this job:

This is a build role; the organization just moved to GAAP recently, they don’t have much in the way of forecasts or models, and thus the CEO is really looking for this person take this function to a whole new level. This person will manage a small team of soon-to-be 2 accountants (1 today), and will advise the CEO on growth plans moving forward (both for this team and the organization).

The owners of this company started the company in college out of their dorm room, and have since been featured in the Who’s Who of Entrepreneurs in publications across the country. They’ve seen 30-35% growth every year since the company’s inception. And yet, this is a company you have NEVER heard of.

*** This is a primarily REMOTE role. Our client would love if the Director could get to the St. Paul, MN area once or twice a week to participate in meetings, but it isn’t required. They offer a strong base salary, in addition to a competitive annual bonus. ***

*** This is a full-time, permanent position. Our client does not sponsor visas at this time. ***
