SkyWater Search Partners is collaborating with an established Consulting Engineering firm looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their growing Madison office. Work hand-in-hand with a Sr. Project Manager to gain a wide variety of project experience and ensure a fast-track to professional licensure. Budding Engineers with 1-3 years of relevant experience will be considered. 

Job Description: Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting: Create detailed drawings using computer software, including floor plans, sections, elevations, diagrams, and schedules.

Technical Knowledge: Learn and understand project documents and various methods of project execution, such as design-bid-build and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD).

Sizing Equipment: Determine the right sizes for electrical components like breakers, wires, and conduits for equipment such as motors, HVAC systems, and heating elements.

Lighting Design: Calculate and select appropriate lighting fixtures, ensuring they meet required brightness levels and emergency lighting standards. Understand lighting codes and energy regulations, especially those for Wisconsin.

Electrical Basics: Learn the basics of electrical safety, equipment coordination, and sizing panels and generators according to standards.

Underground Ducts: Use software tools to size underground electrical conduits correctly.

Code Research: Research and apply local and state codes relevant to each project.

Professional Skills:

Quality and Service: Focus on delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service by carefully reviewing your work for errors before submission. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
