SkyWater is partnering with an existing client of ours in the East metro on an Engineering Manager search! The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a small team of engineers (4 direct reports) while also digging into hands-on engineering projects. This person will report directly to the company President to achieve strategic goals for the organization. Our client is a custom manufacturer who’s been growing organically and through acquisitions. Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor and grow a small team of engineers (both mechanical and electrical).
• Distribute projects and work responsibilities to team members.
• Oversee projects to make sure work is getting done on time and within budget.
• Work with the company President to achieve engineering goals & objectives.
• Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience and at least 2+ years of experience leading or managing engineers (preferably mechanical or electrical).
• Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
• Ability to problem solve and make independent decisions.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
