Equity Research Analysts (Generalist and Tech) for Small Cap Hedge Fund
| A $300 million long / short equity fund is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to work closely with its research team in a collaborative environment, with the opportunity to have immediate impact on the investment process. We are looking for a motivated self-starter capable of completing a variety of unstructured, ad hoc research requests on a wide range of topics. Ideal candidates would be highly quantitative with a strong background in financial modeling and accounting. Creative research and channel checking including tapping industry sources, business experts, and company executives in many different businesses and industries is desired.

| We are looking for someone with: A Demonstrated ability as a motivated self-starter capable of taking a basic set of directions and running with it. Strong attention to detail and ability to reach nuanced conclusions when evaluating a wide variety of businesses and industries. A skeptical and independently minded person willing to question consensus, spot exaggerations or lies, and determine if a specific investment is a compelling long or short opportunity. Responsibilities
*Conduct industry research, competitive analysis, and due-diligence on a wide variety of topics. We’re looking for someone who can grasp a basic thesis and thoroughly research a topic to either prove or disprove our initial view of the topic. You are the type of person who loves an intellectual challenge and thinking for yourself based on data and facts. *Strong business sense and quantitative skills, including the ability to build detailed financial models and a strong understanding of how the three financial statements tie together. *Compose in-depth written investigative reports for potential investments and be able to discuss your findings with colleagues. *Ability to find answers to complex questions that require extensive internet searches, on the ground research, and phone work.

Buy Side Public Equity research or hedge fund experience Value investing Orientation Focus on small to micro cap market For the Tech Analyst position-both buy-side investment and Tech industry experience preferred. 2-10 years of experience Seattle, WA or Miami, FL location
