Finance Manager
SkyWater is partnering with a highly acquisitive Financial Services company in the Twin Cities who is looking for a Finance Manager to own the firms cash flow forecasting, modeling, and reporting. This position will lead and support M&A through earn-out modeling and reporting, support the valuation and accounting of the earn-out liabilities, and evaluation of performance against against underwriting models. This position will also be responsible for various corporate and business ad-hoc analysis, as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Own cash flow forecast for the firm
- Use existing model to accurately forecast future cash flows
- Ensure the firm has sufficient cash to meet future obligations
- Understand cash flows at a legal entity level; ensure regulatory minimum capital requirements are met
- Forecast the firm’s debt covenant ratios
- Develop new or enhance existing model as needed
- Own the valuation of future earn-out payments from completed M&A transactions
- Develop and maintain models that calculate potential future payments to acquired firms
- Understand contract language to ensure accurate valuation
- Forecast balance sheet value of payments in the future
- Maintain support for valuations and accounting classifications
- M&A transaction evaluation & support
- Evaluate financial returns vs. underwriting models
- Support valuation process with 3rd party firm
- Complete other analysis as assigned
- P & L results analysis
- Employee retention analysis
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Min 5+ years of related Finance experience; preferably in cash forecasting, treasury analytics, financial modeling, or M&A financial support
- Exhibit strong thought leadership and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Must be able to understand and leverage data and analytics to improve decision making and results
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to influence and interact with all levels in the organization
