Title: Global HR Director

Location:  Orange County, California

SkyWater Search Partners has been fully retained in search for a strategic Global HR Director in Orange County, California.  As the Global HR Director you will provide proactive and advanced business support and internal consulting for the executive leadership team.  You will be responsible for designing and implementing proactive HR programs that support employee engagement and drive business results.  If you are a strategic HR leader yet hands-on leader and enjoy supporting a fast paced, innovative business we want to talk to you!  This role reports to the CHRO for North America with a strong line to the Business Unit President and collaborates regularly with regional, global and HR shared services teams. 

Key areas of Responsibility:

  • Lead HR initiatives designed to accelerate business results by building a high performing organization, people excellence model and winning culture.
  • Consult with leadership to develop solutions to business challenges
  • Drive the talent management program focused on forecasting, recruiting, on-boarding, development, career and succession planning, talent movement, and retention
  • Build strategies for proactive employee relations to ensure healthy relations with all employees; manage escalated issues as needed
  • Implement compensation strategy and conduct internal and external analysis for the business to ensure performance is differentiated and rewarded
  • Guide and direct organizational design, development and change management solutions
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support efforts throughout the organization
  • Design and deliver custom training sessions, workshops, and seminars as needed by business
  • Lead and develop local HR team
  • Support of M&A activity and integration

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related field
  • 7-10 years of strategic HR Business Partner experience in a global and/or matrixed environment leading strategic HR initiatives
  • Proven track record of partnering, influencing and coaching senior leadership teams
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and strategic problem solver
  • Proven leadership skills, including experience managing other HR professionals 
  • Hands-on leader with the capability of linking strategy to day-to-day priorities
  • Strong proficiency in managing and leveraging human resources technologies as a strategic tool
  • Self-starting and tenacious with the ability to perform under pressure
  • Strong project management and ability to initiate, implement, drive and sustain change
  • Ability to inspire trust and confidence at all levels   
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (preferred)
