Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Hardware Test Engineer is needed to support the development, execution, and improvement of hardware test procedures for electronic products. This role focuses on ensuring product performance, reliability, and manufacturability through rigorous testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement test plans and procedures for new and existing electronic hardware.
  • Develop both manual and automated testing solutions to validate product functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to review product specifications and ensure testability.
  • Perform root cause analysis on failed units and assist in corrective action implementation.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to integrate testing processes into manufacturing.
  • Document test setups, procedures, and results clearly and accurately.
  • Develop and maintain calibration procedures for test equipment.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in testing methodologies and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in hardware testing, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and data acquisition systems.
  • Familiarity with automated test systems and scripting languages (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, TestStand) is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
