SkyWater is partnering with a leading wealth management and tax firm as they look to hire an experienced HR Manager to lead the function.  This is a newly-created role following recent expansion, with significant growth plans in the near future.  The culture is high-performing yet relaxed, family-oriented, and the company places a high priority on excellent client service.

As the HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing the HR strategy for the firm’s current and future state. You will be responsible for managing all HR-related functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership to support business goals and foster a supportive and high-performance work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of new employees. Develop and implement effective hiring strategies to attract top talent.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Mediate conflicts, provide guidance on HR policies, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance appraisal process, including setting goals, providing feedback, and developing employee growth plans. Support managers in addressing performance issues.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Administer the company’s compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing, health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and benefits administration.
