Internal Controls Manager

The ideal candidate loves to dig in, ask the tough questions, and collaborate with leaders throughout the organization. After being acquired by a publicly traded company within the last year, this individual will be the SOX expert – building and implementing their SOX program and then maintaining it.

Responsibilities
- Oversee SOX compliance and policy development
- Lead SOX program, including walkthroughs, identifying/ validating key controls, developing test procedures, executing and documenting testing, implementing remediation solutions (as needed), and reporting results
- Oversee development and maintenance of process documentation, including process flowcharts and narratives and risk/ controls matrices
- Manage SOX testing and ensure testing results are appropriately documented and communicated
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of progressive internal audit experience
- Experience building and implementing a SOX program preferred
- Strong change management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
