The ideal candidate loves to dig in, ask the tough questions, and collaborate with leaders throughout the organization. After being acquired by a publicly traded company within the last year, this individual will be the SOX expert – building and implementing their SOX program and then maintaining it.

  • Oversee SOX compliance and policy development
  • Lead SOX program, including walkthroughs, identifying/ validating key controls, developing test procedures, executing and documenting testing, implementing remediation solutions (as needed), and reporting results
  • Oversee development and maintenance of process documentation, including process flowcharts and narratives and risk/ controls matrices
  • Manage SOX testing and ensure testing results are appropriately documented and communicated

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years of progressive internal audit experience
  • Experience building and implementing a SOX program preferred
  • Strong change management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
