They’re looking to add a strong Lead Mechanical Engineer to their team that can wear multiple hats throughout the design and New Product Development process. This person will be responsible for designing new equipment, supporting specific product lines and supporting multiple teams to ensure that the design meets all specifications. This will be a Lead role guiding 4 other engineers and managing all projects for the team. This is a great opportunity to make an impact by bringing new products and designs to a growing organization!

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of Lead mechanical/design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Solidworks 
• Knowledgeable in machine designing 
• Capital Equipment experience preferred
• Good communication skills and strong attention to detail 

Responsibilities:

• Manage New Product Development and set strategic objectives for each project
• Supervise a team of Mechanical Engineers and set objectives for each design/project
• Designing new products and updating existing products
• Work with production, technicians, and support staff to improve quality of each product.
• Utilize Solidworks for developing new designs and prototypes
• Supervise the testing of each design ensuring that it’s manufacturable.
• Working on a cross-functional team with sales and customers on product specification.
