I have been retained by Winnebago Outdoors to help them find a Manager, Strategic Planning and Business Development who will be responsible for identifying, driving, and delivering high impact growth projects for the flagship Winnebago brand.  This role will collaborate with functional leaders on core growth opportunities for the Motorhome, Towables and Specialty Vehicles businesses while leading efforts to assess adjacent brand opportunities consistent with our long-term strategy.  In addition, this role will support business planning process to evaluate, prioritize and execute these strategic initiatives.


Key Areas of Responsibility: ? Drive the development of both strategic priorities and Long-Range Plan (LRP) for Winnebago Outdoors, including identification and prioritization of key initiatives, financial and business case modeling, as well as market and competitive assessment. ? Facilitate strategic execution of specific growth projects by working collaboratively with leaders and teams across the Outdoors organization. ? Ensure that the strategy is communicated and easily understood by all throughout the organization. ? Lead a systemic, coordinated approach in identifying, responding to, and evaluating new business and partnership opportunities that support growth, create value for consumers and partners, and diversify revenue sources.

Desired Skills and Experience

Education & Experience Requirements: ? 2+ years post-MBA or 6+ yrs post undergrad in management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, or related field required; experience within a durable goods manufacturer or similar segment with discretionary consumer buying attributes strongly preferred. ? Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required; Masters preferred. ? Proven success leading and executing on complex cross-functional strategic efforts and initiatives. ? Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business opportunities and understand how strategic plans can enable revenue and profit growth. ? Successful track record liaising with and influencing executive level professionals to drive business outcomes. ? Passion and energy for innovation and the outdoors industry Background Requirements: Cultural fit is vital. Winnebago hires people who are humble, hungry, and smart. It is strongly preferred to find someone who has experience working for a management consulting firm where they have developed very strong strategy fundamentals including knowing how to run a strategic planning process. It is important for this candidate to have agility with frameworks, be able to organize a lot of complexity and put it into nice formats, and have it be compelling in their story telling capability with clear work streams that come out of it. We are looking for someone who has the ability to be nimble while being able to bridge the environments between external consultants and business unit leaders. We want this person to be able to develop and present material to senior leadership. The ability to tell their story while capturing high quality content not only in terms of the strategic framework but also in their presentation capability is important. Characteristics: ?
