Mechanical Design Engineer
SkyWater is partnering with a returning client in the West metro who’s looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their fast-growing team! This person will be creating new designs based on research and conducting operational tests. This is a great opportunity work on a cross-functional team while bringing design and development experience to the table. Our client is a fast-moving business so a fast learner and strategic thinker will be important. Responsibilities
- Design and develop new equipment based on customer's needs and specifications
- Ensure that all components are correctly designed and selected
- Work with internal departments on projects during the design phase
- Developing new processes by designing equipment for assembling and fabricating components
- Ensure that all designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of designing/drafting experience
- Experience working with customers on projects during the design/development phase
- AutoCAD experience
- High attention detail and ability to work cross functionally with internal departments.
- Fluid handling experience preferred
