New Product Design Engineer
Looking for an opportunity to wear multiple hats, while working with a small team in a high growth environment? My client is a local manufacturing firm looking to add a New Product Design Engineer. This is a small, but growing team, so ability to work cross functionally within a manufacturing environment is key (along with technical skills)!
Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with the Engineering team to develop (specify, define design requirements, qualify, or test) products
- Creates complex models and drawings and perform checking for drawings and models
- Ensures model and drawing quality
- Creates and maintains product specifications utilizing Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing
- Assists with process documentation and support manufacturing operations
- Drive root cause analysis and resolution of customer complaints
Desired Skills and Experience
- Mechanical Engineer or other relevant engineering degree
- Strong Design skills to develop, qualify and implement new products for external/internal customers.
- Understanding design for Six Sigma principles
- Technical drafting & CAD (Must know SolidWorks and have some experience with AutoCAD)
- Knowledge in drawing management and Bill of Materials
- Geometric Tolerancing experience
