Operations Manager
SkyWater is partnering with a mid-sized manufacturer in the Sioux Falls area to help find an Operations Manager for their team! The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations while implementing lean manufacturing principles, looking for process improvements, training & mentoring employees, and much more. This person will be overseeing a team of about 10 direct reports with roughly 75 indirect across multiple shifts. Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the plant.
- Manage a team of roughly 75 across multiple shifts.
- Help implement lean manufacturing principles.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic objectives.
- Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 5+ years of people management experience.
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
- Ability to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
