Operations Manager
Our client is a fast-growing contract medical device manufacturer that specializes in mechanical / electro-mechanical assembly, finished devices, and custom equipment. They are looking to add an Operations Manager to their team who will report directly to the President, taking up some of his responsibilities in the day-to-day. This is a new position and is open due to growth.
Responsibilities
- Improve manufacturing process instructions, product flow, assembly methods, space allocation, product quality, and safety performance for both current and new products
- Support development of Medical Device manufacturing processes and operating plans for new and existing products, suggest product changes
- Direct reports include 3 engineers, 1 buyer / planner, and approx 15 machinist / assemblers.
- Develop and manage the facilities organization and personnel to most effectively achieve customer expectations
- Work collaboratively with Engineering and Quality to successfully and seamlessly deliver to customers an integrated set of services and products
- Ensures output, timeliness, quality and cost to standards are consistent with customer requirements and company strategy
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelors or Associates Degree
- 5+ years of operations experience & 1+ year of project experience, within a medical device, machining, or mechanical / electronic assembly type environment.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and multi-task.
