Operations Manager
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in the Sioux Falls area who’s looking to hire an Operations Manager for their growing team! The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for an assigned area of the manufacturing plant, while also managing a large team, implementing lean manufacturing policies, working with leadership on strategic initiatives and much more. We’re looking for someone with management experience in a manufacturing setting and experience working in a lean manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations while managing a large team (about 70 reports).
- Work closely with plant leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Look for process improvements or efficiencies in this division.
- Implement lean manufacturing policies.
- Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 1+ year of leading a team.
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
- Ability to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
