Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing, leading, and developing a small purchasing team. You will oversee the procurement, sourcing, and inventory management of parts, goods, and services that are necessary for operational excellence. This role will be essential in cost reduction activities by ensuring strong vendor & supplier relationships, efficiency improvements, identifying new vendor partnerships, and creating a culture centered around teamwork and customer service. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategy for business alignment and cost-efficiency
  • Maximize value through supplier negotiations, strategy analysis, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with your team and other business units for quality-driven outcomes.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and maintain ethical supplier relations.
  • Coordinate inventory control and improve purchasing systems through continuous improvement efforts.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience with demonstrated knowledge of contract management, vendor relationship, negotiation, cost savings, and ERP skills
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Supply Chain or a related field is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
