Our client is a leading distributor of machine tooling and specialty mechanical components that is headquartered here in the Twin Cities. They specialize in being one of the few full-service distributors of high-quality industrial machine tooling. They are seeking to add a Sales Engineer to their salesforce to help build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships. This opportunity is a mix of account management, meaning this individual will be inheriting profiting customer accounts, while also being able to uncover new clients through business development. The ideal candidate will need to have a proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close. In addition, have related industrial sales experience with evolving new/pre-existing client accounts, and pursue sales leads within their assigned territory. This position will be reporting directly and work closely with the Vice President of Sales. They compensate “very-well” through a competitive base salary + uncapped commission potential and additional benefits.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Min. 3-5 years of industrial sales experience is a requirement, with capital equipment experience preferred
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish, with minimal guidance
- Needs to have a technical sales aptitude with a strong level of comfort in an industrial setting
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibility and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
