Sales Manager – Plastics
Our client is a rapidly growing privately owned plastic manufacturing company based in Minnesota. They have been in business for over 35 years serving their customers in various industries. They are seeking to add a Sales Manager to the leadership team. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth through customer engagement, and solution-oriented selling strategies. They will work closely with their quality, tooling, production, and customer service teams to understand client requirements and internal capabilities, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations. Overtime, this individual will have the opportunity to build out a sales team while continuing to work with key accounts. They will report to the CEO and will have engagement with the ownership group. They will compensate well through base salary, plus an aggressive commission model, and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Collaborate with customers to identify opportunities for customized solutions
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets and industries
- Contribute to overall decisions and strategy of the business
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 5+ years of sales experience selling into industrial markets
- Understanding of plastics, injection molding, design, or thermoforming is desired
- Proven ability to drive net new business and manage customer relationships
- Willingness to travel as needed (20%+)
