Senior Accountant in Burnsville
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
SkyWater is excited to partner with a local manufacturing and distribution company on their search for a Senior Accountant! There is a defined growth path (if desired), with near-term promotion opportunity to Accounting Manager, and future advancement as the hiring leader will be searching for his successor.
This position is newly created due to the company’s growth. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong accounting skillset and ERP experience, and a continuous improvement mindset, with the desire to create efficiencies and ‘leave your mark.’

Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Responsible for financial planning and reporting, including providing variance analysis and insights to leadership.
- Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and performance measurements to support operational goals.
- Continuously drive process improvements and initiatives, improving controls and effectiveness.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Extensive knowledge of ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, LOOKUPs, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
