In this role, you will leverage your expertise in electrical design and PLC programming to develop and implement innovative solutions for custom equipment. The ideal candidate will contribute to the optimization of automation systems, conduct thorough testing, and provide on-site support, demonstrating proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD Electrical, and design and program PLCs.


  • Proficient use of SolidWorks/AutoCAD Electrical to create comprehensive schematic packages, adhering to relevant electrical codes.
  • Design and program PLCs ensuring thorough testing for proper functionality and performance
  • Specify components for machines and automated equipment to meet project requirements.
  • Manage engineering projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring successful final implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and provide timely resolutions.
  • Ensure effective communication between electrical design and other project elements.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation, including operation manuals, specifications, and test reports.
  • Provide regular progress reports to project managers, highlighting key milestones and proposed solutions.
  • Conduct functional tests, troubleshoot electrical issues, and optimize machine performance for optimal efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide technical expertise to diagnose control problems remotely or over the phone.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another applicable discipline
  • 5+ years of electrical and controls engineering experience, with advanced knowledge of electrical design and plc programming
  • Experience with 2D and 3D engineering design software such as Solidworks, Creo, and Autocad
  • Experience programming PLC control systems
  • Experience overseeing projects in a manufacturing/machine building environment
