Senior Financial Analyst

This is a SFA role that has an M&A component to it, which I know is pretty rare to come by. The selling points for this role are: high executive leadership exposure, they are going to have their hands in everything including some M&A work. They have a change in controllership coming up and this person would help with due diligence, valuation, and quality of earnings and will really be able to see the direct impact their work is making. They operate on a hybrid working style, and have 4 weeks of PTO + 8 vacation days.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of strategic methodologies for evaluating and communicating department budgets and performs variance analysis for the departments.
  • Involved in budgeting, forecasting, data modeling, analyzing, and reporting.
  • Aids in partnership between Finance and lines of business and assists in aligning Finance and lines of business requirements.
  • Performs regular monitoring and evaluation of varying performance strategies, strategic vision, planning, program enhancements and overall process improvement.
  • Assists in the development of tools to support lines of business for improved timing & information utilization.
  • Aids in development of detailed bank reporting and analysis on multiple financing structures
  • Involved in documentation, execution, verification and optimization of processes and reports.
  • Executes analytical projects in support of Finance and Operations.
  • Assists the Finance and Operations Management Team on a day-to-day basis, performing ad-hoc requests.
  • Aids in monthly close process via revenue modeling, impairment analysis, and other operating variance explanation support.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • BS/BA College Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years prior experience in a related Financial Analyst role.
  • Experience in the financial services industry desired, but not required.
  • Prior experience assisting with company budget and forecasting processes and modeling
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data modeling.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Solid acumen in the areas of business and logical thought process.
  • Analytical and critical reasoning skills; problem solving skills.
  • Ability to assess issues and visualize possible solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to be influential through both written and verbal interactions with a variety of audiences.
