I am working on a Senior Financial Analyst position for a really cool company. This is a high exposure role, reporting directly to the Director of BU Finance (she is AMAZING – would be a phenomenal leader) who has been with the company almost 11 years. They have over doubled in revenue, size, and headcount over the past couple years and only expects even more growth on the horizon. 

This person will be working directly with stakeholders handling business cases for multimillion dollar projects. They have a beautiful office, competitive pay, and great benefits.

MUST BE LIVING OR WILLING TO RELOCATE TO DULUTH, MN 
4 days in office – one at home

Responsibilities

  • Acts as business partner to leadership providing financial outlook and performance, actively participating in cross-functional meetings and presenting relevant reporting and documents to all levels of management
  • Participates in preparation of annual financial budgets and updated financial projections as needed to track performance and outlook of projects
  • Prepares actual to budget/forecast variance analysis
  • Engages in monthly reviews, providing financial insights to key drivers of change and ensuring results are well understood by decision makers
  • Collaborates to make recommendations for scalable business solutions related to planning and budgeting
  • Acts as liaison between business team and accounting department ensuring transactions are appropriately accounted for in the financials

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial analysis or audit
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive financial forecasts and appropriately represent financial information
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional fast-paced environment and to drive operational initiatives
  • Aptitude to take charge, set objectives, lead by influence and drive results
