Our client is seeking an energetic Learning and Development leader to add to their growing Human Resources function. The Sr. Manager of Learning and Development will play a vital role leading the development and execution of the organization’s learning strategy. This role will collaborate closely with various branches, departments, and leadership teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and employee development. The primary objective is to enhance employee skills and knowledge, aligning with corporate goals and driving organizational growth.

The primary objective for this position will be to support the organization in innovative, learner-oriented, and impactful experiences that support strategic business objectives. This role requires knowledge and depth in effective onboarding strategies, adult learning, instructional design, learning technologies and vendor management.  This role will lead a small team dedicated to Learning and Development with significant opportunity for career growth. ·Through collaboration with leadership, develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy aligned with the AVI’s goals and objectives.
·Lead design and implementation of effective learning and onboarding programs for all new employees that make them feel welcomed, valued, and prepared for work responsibilities.
·Design and update training programs, materials, and delivery methods.
·Conduct regular talent assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs within the organization, tailoring programs accordingly.
·Ensure that training initiatives effectively enhance employees’ skills and knowledge, contributing to improved job performance and career development.
·Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms and performance assessments; incorporate feedback and evaluation results into continuous improvement of training materials and methods.
·Oversee the effective delivery of training programs, whether through in-person sessions, online courses, or a combination of methods, ensuring that they are engaging and meet the learning needs of employees.
·Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in learning and development, applying innovative approaches to training and development initiatives.

Manage and optimize the use of the organization’s learning management system, overseeing content creation, user management, and reporting.
Contribute to the overall talent development strategy, focusing on retaining and upskilling top talent.
In collaboration with the VP of Human Resources, contribute to the overall talent development and succession planning strategy, focusing on evaluating, retaining and upskilling top talent.
Identify and manage relationships with external vendors and consultants to ensure the quality and relevance of outsourced training programs.
Lead and mentor the Learning and Development team, providing guidance, feedback, and support for professional growth.


·Bachelor’s degree, Human Resources Certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) and/or Advanced Degree preferred.
·7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience including at least  5 years experience in designing and managing learning and development programs.
·A deep understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
·Multi-state experience, ideally in a high-growth service-oriented environment.
·Strong technical aptitude and experience with various LMS platforms.
·Strong project management and organizational skills
·Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
·Proven desire to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
·Effective communication and interpersonal skills to convey training concepts and strategies clearly.
·Results-oriented, dynamic, flexible and can easily link learning strategies to business solutions.
