We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. The Senior Buyer will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods necessary for our manufacturing operations. This individual will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, and procurement activities to support our business objectives and drive cost efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Sourcing: Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  2. Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring effective communication, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  3. Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings, manage risks, and secure favorable payment and delivery terms.
  4. Contract Management: Manage supplier contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and performance expectations.
  5. Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for supply chain optimization, inventory management, and cost reduction initiatives.
  6. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and risk mitigation.
  7. Risk Management: Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions, quality issues, geopolitical factors, and market volatility.
  8. Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supplier performance, procurement effectiveness, and cost savings achievements.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes, enhance operational efficiency, and optimize supplier performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, in the manufacturing space.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and achieving cost savings targets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software/systems.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
