Sr. Electrical Designer
SkyWater is partnering with a growing engineering services firm in the Minneapolis/St Paul area to find a Senior Electrical Designer to join their team! Our client has been successfully operating in the Twin Cities market for 40 years and offers a variety of services to their clientele (mechanical, electrical, facilities, construction, etc.). The Sr. Electrical Designer will focus on industrial & commercial facility design projects while designing & producing drawings for electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, etc.). Responsibilities
- Design commercial & industrial electrical systems, power distribution systems, and lighting based on client needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on projects (mechanical, architectural, etc.).
- Communicate with various teams on project updates & timelines.
- Occasionally travel to project sites and conduct field reviews.
- Other duties or responsibilities as needed.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of electrical design experience.
- Experience working in construction, A&E or similar engineering services firm (or combination of experience).
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
- Knowledge of electrical codes & regulations.
