Our client is a 50-year-old, private equity-backed national professional services company delivering scientific and technical support across a broad range of industries. As the organization continues its strong trajectory of growth and transformation, we are seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to join the HR leadership team and lead enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategy.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for designing and executing scalable, forward-looking recruitment strategies aligned with business objectives. The successful candidate will be a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, championing talent initiatives that drive performance, innovation, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a long-term talent acquisition strategy that aligns with business growth objectives, workforce planning, and the company’s value proposition.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and business leaders, translating talent needs into actionable hiring strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing talent acquisition team, fostering a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Optimize recruitment processes, systems, and tools to increase efficiency, enhance candidate experience, and ensure hiring excellence.
  • Design and deliver compelling employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives to position the company as a top employer in a competitive talent market.
  • Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in recruitment practices, ensuring access to a wide and representative talent pool.
  • Leverage workforce analytics and labor market insights to inform strategic decisions, measure success, and continuously refine approach.
  • Establish and manage metrics, scorecards, and reporting to demonstrate the ROI of talent acquisition strategies and identify performance trends.
  • Drive strategic programs such as university recruiting, internship development, and talent pipelining to build a sustainable workforce pipeline.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement tools and assessments that enhance selection processes and support long-term talent development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and business leaders to ensure talent initiatives align with company priorities and culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 7+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and scale recruitment teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Deep knowledge of modern sourcing methods, employer branding, assessments, and recruiting technologies; Workday experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive strategic decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Experience in private equity or high-growth environments preferred.
