Process Engineer
The Associate Process Engineer position will support the Engineered Substrates team in the development of composite sheet materials, production of complex products, and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities include working with senior engineers and operations staff to plan, schedule, and process materials on the continuous double belt press. In addition, the engineer will identify and lead process improvement and materials development projects. The Associate Process Engineer will be responsible for maintaining equipment and training less experienced operators and technicians.
Additional responsibilities include running equipment, continuous improvement projects, recording and analyzing quality data, and collecting and communicating results and recommendations to engineers, project managers, and operations staff. In addition, the position may lead team meetings and direct resources in production and development areas.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering-related field
- Willingness and eagerness to be hands-on with equipment and machinery
- Conceptual knowledge of continuous improvement practices, lean six sigma, kaizen events, and engineering analyses such as yield improvement and OEE
