Electrical Engineer
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client who’s looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team! Our client is a small, privately held custom machinery manufacturer based in the Southeast metro. This person will report to the Engineering Manager we placed here and will mainly be responsible for PLC programming for these machines. The Electrical Engineer will develop & maintain PLC controls for machines, troubleshoot control & electrical issues with products, partner with internal engineering teams & customers throughout project lifecycles, and much more. We’re looking for an experience PLC programmer who can hit the ground running in this role and ideally someone who has experience working within machinery manufacturing (or similar industry). Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain PLC & HMI programs.
- Troubleshoot control & electrical issues as needed.
- Create electrical drawings in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Partner with internal engineering teams & customer throughout project lifecycles.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering field (electrical, mechanical, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience as an Electrical, Controls, Automation or similar engineering position (or combination of positions).
- Experience programming PLC’s or HMI’s required.
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
