Senior Accountant
SkyWater is excited to partner with a prominent manufacturer looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. We are seeking a high-energy, analytically minded senior accountant who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, is naturally curious, tech-savvy, and eager to make a meaningful impact across the organization. This role is reporting to the general manager and is the sole accountant to the company and is open due to an upcoming retirement.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly close processes and ensure accurate preparation of financial statements
- Analyze inventory and cost of goods sold, including variance analysis and standard costing
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to provide financial insights that support business decisions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow projections
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Assist with year-end audit
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in financial reporting
- Responsibilities related to payroll, employee benefits, sales tax, etc.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience and strong skills in Excel and fully integrated ERP systems
- Knowledge of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Two years of manufacturing experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
- Trustworthy with strong work ethic
