Senior Director of Sales
We have been retained by a fast-growing, global $500M publicly-traded manufacturing company to identify their next Senior Director of Sales. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this position is one of the most important hires at the organization as our client looks towards the next phase of growth. With a well-regarded sales team of over 40 people and a revenue stream of $100M+, this sales leader is well-positioned to lead & accomplish a number of large, strategic multi-year sales initiatives on behalf of the organization.
Our client is aggressively growing (their stock is up 25% YTD!), both organically and through multiple acquisitions in the past few years. They have seen many smaller competitors jump into their space in the last 5-7 years, but the are still seen as the industry leader. This hire will ensure that they continue to drive the industry forward as the #1 leader in the space.

Responsibilities
- DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and Inspire: Cultivate a top-tier team focused on growing mid-tier accounts by recruiting and retaining talent while providing superb training and mentorship.
- Drive Collaboration: Forge powerful partnerships with adjacent Sales Directors, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and relentless improvement that reverberates through the entire organization.
- Plan Strategically: Collaborate with leaders in Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to create long-term strategies and annual plans that engage and captivate customers, achieving or surpassing revenue targets.
- Meet Business Objectives: Collaborate with Sales Leadership team to define business objectives and performance metrics for the Americas and align them with the company’s global vision.
- Cultivate Teamwork: Foster a culture of shared purpose where sales, customer service, and application engineering work in sync to achieve success together.
- Innovate and Improve: Analyze sales and marketing effectiveness, offering insights and recommendations for transformative improvements.
- Champion Cross-Departmental Partnership: Facilitate open communication and shared commitment across departments, ensuring consistency with key stakeholders.
- Fuel Success: Define and oversee all sales initiatives for the Grow and Expand sales teams, ensuring consistent achievement of revenue goals.
- Measure and Forecast: Leverage advanced sales tools to provide insights into performance metrics, including customer prospecting and sales orders, while forecasting sales revenue and expenses to align with projections.
- Lead with Integrity: Uphold company policies and business ethics, ensuring they are ingrained within the team culture and practice.
- Spearhead Initiatives: Lead company initiatives, strategies, and platforms with enthusiasm and commitment, showcasing your integral role in our continuous innovation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience
- Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Finance, Marketing or related field OR equivalent education and/or experience. Professional Experience
- 8+ years of sales leadership experience in a high growth environment.
- 4+ years of experience in leading managers or other senior level managers.
- Proven ability to develop and manage high-performance, result-oriented teams. Extensive experience in leading teams with dynamic and transforming environments while managing through change and ensuring smooth transitions and continuous team engagement.
- Demonstrated expertise in devising and executing long-term growth strategies, working collaboratively with cross-functional leadership teams to consistently surpass growth and profit objectives.
- Proficient technical skills including working knowledge of CRM software solutions.
- Strong data-driven expertise in establishing, monitoring, and analyzing revenue metrics and pipeline data to optimize team performance.
- Proven skill in forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management to meet monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguous situations and manage change.
- Ability to adapt quickly to market changes, industry trends, and customer needs.
- Strong leadership and team development skills, with experience mentoring and motivating sales professionals.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships at multiple organizational levels.
- Knowledge of market analysis, competitive intelligence, and pricing strategies.
