Director of Manufacturing Operations
We are seeking a proven operations leader to join our team as Director of Manufacturing Operations. This is a highly visible role with full ownership of production, packaging, and related support functions in a regulated manufacturing environment. The right leader will bring a blend of people leadership, process discipline, and continuous improvement expertise to drive safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing and packaging operations across multiple shifts and work centers.
- Manage and develop a team of managers, supervisors, and operators; provide coaching, career development, and succession planning.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean/Kaizen methodologies, daily management systems, and data-driven decision making.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements; maintain readiness for audits and inspections.
- Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering to ensure seamless operations and reliable output.
- Contribute to strategic site initiatives including equipment selection, facility expansion, and capital project execution.
- Champion a culture of safety, quality, and accountability at all levels of the organization.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, with at least 5 years in multi-shift or multi-department management.
- Demonstrated success in regulated environments
- Strong track record of leading teams through operational transformation, continuous improvement, and cultural change.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or related process-improvement frameworks.
- Excellent leadership presence, with the ability to engage at both the plant floor and executive levels.
