React Software Engineer
SkyWater Search has partnered with a leading Chicago-based technology firm seeking a mid-level React Software Engineer to join their UI/UX development team.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with business stakeholders and designers to build highly performant web applications that handle complex data flows. This is a full-time onsite position in downtown Chicago, offering the chance to work closely with top-tier engineers in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Compensation: $115K–$135K + bonus
Location: Chicago, IL (onsite)

Responsibilities
Develop performant web applications in React/TypeScript with Material UI. Implement backend API endpoints and WebSocket handlers in C#. Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver pixel-perfect functionality. Troubleshoot, test, and maintain application quality and security. Write and maintain unit tests to ensure backwards compatibility. Promote best practices and coding standards across the development team.
Desired Skills and Experience
3+ years building web applications with React, TypeScript, Material UI, Node.js. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience). Bonus skills: C#, Python, SQL. Agile environment experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work directly with end users. Knowledge of financial markets a plus but not required.
