Senior Staff Accountant
SkyWater is excited to partner with a global design firm with award?winning expertise in apparel design, manufacturing, merchandising and brand marketing as they are looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to their team. We are seeking a high-energy, analytically minded senior accountant who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, is naturally curious, tech-savvy, and eager to make a meaningful impact across the organization. This role is reporting to the Controller and has high visibility to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the month-end close process
- Ensure accounting practices comply with GAAP
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements
- Ensure that account payables are paid in a timely manner
- Ensure that account receivables are collected in a timely manner
- Assist HR with semi-monthly payroll
- Conduct monthly bank account reconciliations
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion always through participation in trainings and learning events, modeling welcoming behavior, and fostering an inclusive company culture
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- Public accounting experience preferred
- 4 to 6 years of accounting experience
- Desire and drive to create best-in-class accounting processes
- Positive, personable, team-oriented, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
- Able to work independently
- Proficiency in accounting and finance including Generally Accepted Accounting
- Principles
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
