Foundry Superintendent
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in Northern Minnesota on a Foundry Superintendent role! The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and launching an induction furnace program with our client. This includes overseeing induction furnace installations, hiring & training team members to run these furnaces, oversee the daily furnace operations, maintaining quality & safety standards within this department, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation of induction furnaces and work with site leadership on furnace placement within the plant.
- Hire, train, and manage team members within the induction furnace area.
- Monitor furnace performance and oversee equipment maintenance.
- Emphasize quality and safety within the department to meet company standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department and work with plant leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma required (Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred).
- 10+ years of professional experience in a foundry environment.
- At least 3 years of experience with induction furnaces and ideally experience working with large furnaces.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
