Environmental/Civil Engineer
Skywater is partnering with a member-owned national consulting firm to hire a Civil/Environmental Engineer based in their St Paul office.
This role is flexible for in-person, hybrid, or remote capabilities depending on experience.
This role will focus on our clients’ most challenging engineering solutions related to transfer stations, solid waste facilities, stormwater design, landfill design, and other related projects. This is a role that will dabble in multiple elements of civil and environmental engineering principles, so if you’re someone who enjoys working on multi-faceted projects this is for you!
If remote, this role needs to be in MN, WI, IA, or IL to be able to travel occasionally to customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Develop plans and specifications while serving as the engineer of record for municipal solid waste, demolition landfill waste, and transfer station facility construction projects
- Lead engineering projects from issue identification and resolution, project delivery, schedule, budget, and quality related to solid waste projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on a daily basis
- Interface with customer contacts providing high quality customer service while identifying project needs
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of civil or environmental engineering design related to general infrastructure, stormwater, grading, residential, municipal, piping, solid waste, landfills, etc...
- PE License or ability to obtain it in the next 12-18 months
- 3+ years with Autocad Civil 3D
