Project Engineer
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in the North Metro to find a Project Engineer for their growing team! Our client is a mid-sized, industry leading manufacturing who’s been consistently growing over the last few years. They’re an electronics manufacturer who mainly works within regulated industries (aerospace/defense, aviation, medical, etc.) and this role is open due to their customer demand/growth. The Project Engineer will be responsible for working closely with customers & internal teams throughout project lifecycles. This includes working with customers to design products, testing these products, partnering with manufacturing & quality engineering teams to make sure products can be manufactured, looking for product design improvements and keeping projects on time & within budget for customers. Responsibilities
- Partner directly with customers on product designs.
- Work with internal engineering teams throughout project lifecycles (Manufacturing, Quality, etc.)
- Develop testing and evaluate products to make sure they meet customer specifications.
- Maintain communication with customers throughout project lifecycles.
- Look for design improvements and process improvements.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in design, mechanical or project engineering role (or combination of roles).
- Experience working in the aerospace/defense industry or electronics manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to prioritize work responsibilities and manage multiple tasks at a time.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal & written).
