Engineering Project Lead
SkyWater Search Partners has been engaged by a local organization to find an Engineering Project Lead for their growing organization! This person will play a pivotal role in the success of our client’s projects and will closely work with customers & internal teams to ensure each project is successful. This includes acting as the technical subject matter expert on projects, leading cross-functional teams throughout project lifecycles, and overseeing these projects through design, fabrication, installation & commissioning. Our client is a successful small business based in the Northwest suburbs who’s been consistently growing over the last few years (around 20%). Responsibilities
- Partner with customers and cross-functional engineering teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Act as the technical subject matter expert on projects.
- Work closely with Project Managers (PMs) and oversee project schedules, budgets, etc.
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, etc. and make sure projects & teams stay on track.
- Work on continuous improvement initiatives to improve project execution.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or similar field of engineering.
- 10+ years of engineering experience and experience with custom engineering projects.
- Experience working with large products and steel or aluminum products preferred.
- Proven experience leading successful engineering projects throughout their lifecycles.
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
- Ability to occasionally travel to project sites (around 15% domestically).
