Sr. Product Manager – Hardware/Software Products (Hybrid)
A global equipment and technology solutions company is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the full lifecycle of an established hardware + software product line. This role owns product vision, roadmap, and execution, partnering closely with engineering, design, operations, sales, and external vendors to deliver innovative, market-leading solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead product strategy, roadmap development, and long-term vision for a connected hardware/software product line.
- Conduct market and competitive research to identify trends, customer needs, and whitespace opportunities.
- Translate insights into clear product requirements, business cases, and prioritized initiatives.
- Drive cross-functional development across hardware engineering, software engineering, design, QA, supply chain, and operations.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through launch, growth, and end-of-life.
- Ensure products meet regulatory and certification standards (e.g., UL, FCC, CE, ISO).
- Partner with sales and marketing on go-to-market plans, launch readiness, training, and commercialization.
- Track performance metrics (revenue, adoption, ROI, customer satisfaction) and drive continuous improvements.
- Communicate product updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership; align teams around priorities.
- Mentor and coach product team members to support organizational capability and growth.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in product development, engineering, or related strategic roles.
- 5–10 years of product management experience owning hardware + software products.
- Experience shepherding products through the entire lifecycle in Agile environments.
- Strong analytical skills with comfort defining KPIs, building business cases, and modeling ROI.
- Excellent communication, cross-functional leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with certification and compliance processes (UL, FCC, CE, ADA, ISO).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Product Design, or related field.
