We are partnering with a PE backed manufacturing company that is looking to hire a Site Accountant for their plant in Lino Lakes. The accountant will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for the day-to-day accounting at the site, assist in financial reporting, cost accounting, month end, and more.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience (ideally within public accounting or manufacturing), have a no task to small mentality, and great communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP principles.
- Reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and monitoring receivables for timely collection.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support external audits and tax filings by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
- Ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned by the Controller or senior management.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a public accounting firm or manufacturing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA eligibility preferred, but not required.
