Accounting Manager
SkyWater is partnering with a local healthcare company in the Twin Cities! They are seeking a senior accountant ready to take that next step or accounting manager who is passionate about leading a team of two individuals. This position operates on a hybrid schedule and offers a competitive salary based on experience level.
Responsibilities
- Creates and reviews journal entries.
- Prepares and reviews monthly reconciliations for all entities.
- Oversees and shares responsibility of company payroll process.
- Plays a central role in coordinating and producing accurate and timely month-end financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
- Assists with annual budget/forecasting process.
- Manages various aspects of the general ledger accounting software such as maintenance, accounts payable, reporting, year-end close, allocations, workflow, upgrades, issues, etc.
- Compiles supporting schedules and work papers for external reviews.
- Administration of company PCard platform activity and maintenance.
- Drives efficiencies, process improvements, and automation whenever possible.
- Conducts ad hoc analyses as needed.
- Monitor trends and develop assumptions on operational and financial data.
- Key communicator with accounting team, other departments, vendors, and client support contacts.
- Build, coach, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting team
- Establishes documentation for policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with emphasis in accounting required.
- 5-7 years of prior accounting experience.
